Its alternate ore counterpart is the Palladium Pike.

Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount. However, Ruthless might be preferred if the player already has very high critical strike chance.

  • The Cobalt Naginata has a maximum range of approximately 10.5 tiles.[1]
    • Melee speed bonuses can slightly increase its range, in addition to increasing its attack speed.

Tips

  • (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) The Dark Lance not only has slightly better stats, but also is somewhat easily obtainable pre-Hardmode, making it a good alternative. However, the Naginata has a slightly higher range.

Trivia

  • A Naginata is a traditional Japanese pole weapon, used by samurai. In real life, a naginata is intended to be swung rather than thrust.
