The Christmas Tree Sword is a Hardmode, post-Plantera broadsword that is dropped by the Everscream during the Frost Moon event with a 3.46%–10.37% (6.22%–31.11%) chance depending on the current wave.[1] When swung, it fires a star ornament that releases a ball ornament every 0.17 seconds while traveling. The stars dissipate after piercing one enemy or after 1.67 seconds. The balls linger for 0.83 seconds before falling. Both types of projectiles cannot pass through blocks or enemies.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

Notes

  • Ball ornaments inflict 25% of the weapon's knockback (base knockback of 1.75 (Very weak)).[2]
  • The star ornament projectile fires every 0.38 seconds if the sword has no modifier.

Trivia

  • Until 1.3.5, items had an unused internal name. The Christmas Tree Sword's name was Christmas Sword.[3]
