The Amethyst Staff is a pre-Hardmode wand that fires a purple bolt that does not pierce. It is the first tier of gem staff.

(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) Its best modifier is Mythical.

(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount. It cannot get the Mythical or Masterful modifiers due to its low mana cost.
