The Uzi is a Hardmode gun that has a 1/100 (1%) chance of being dropped by Angry Trappers. When used, it rapidly fires bullets at a high velocity. It also converts Musket Balls and Tungsten Bullets(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) into High Velocity Bullets, giving them the special effects but not affecting their damage.

Its best modifier is Unreal.

Tips

One would need to defeat 230 Angry Trappers for a 90% chance of obtaining an Uzi (or 460 for a 99% chance).
The Uzi can be considered an alternative to the Megashark, if the player is fortunate enough to have an Angry Trapper drop it.

Trivia

Upon its introduction in the 1.2 update, the Uzi was the rarest item in the game, with a 1/80000 (0.00125%) drop chance. However, this drop rate was drastically increased in the 1.2.0.3 patch shortly afterward.
The Sniper Rifle, Uzi, and Venus Magnum all share the same tooltip.
- Uniquely out of these three, only the Uzi can be obtained prior to defeating any mechanical bosses, allowing the player to use High Velocity Bullets before they are properly craftable.
The Uzi is one of the 11 guns in Terraria based on a real gun, the others being the Chain Gun, Flintlock Pistol, Handgun, Musket, Quad-Barrel Shotgun, Red Ryder, Revolver, Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, and Tactical Shotgun. It is named after the Uzi, a family of Israeli submachine guns.
- Out of these, the Uzi and Red Ryder are the only two to use the trademarks of the guns they are referencing.
