The Space Gun in action.

The Space Gun is a pre-Hardmode magic gun. When used, it fires fast green lasers that can pierce two enemies. While a full set of Meteor armor is equipped, the Space Gun costs no mana to use.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Tips

• The Space Gun is in general only obtainable after defeating the Eater of Worlds or Brain of Cthulhu. Despite this, its single target damage output is worse than the Thunder Zapper.
  • It does have better pierce and projectile velocity; however, bows at this point can use Unholy Arrows sold by the Arms Dealer for even better pierce and damage.
  • Gold Chests near the Underworld can hold Meteorite Bars due to sharing their common loot table with Shadow Chests. In this case, one can obtain the Space Gun before defeating any bosses, where it is a solid option.

• The Space Gun appears to be based on a raygun.
