The Razorblade Typhoon is a Hardmode spell book that has a 1/5 (20%) chance of being dropped by Duke Fishron. When used, it fires a high-velocity homing typhoon. The typhoon can pierce enemies and bounce off blocks infinitely, and it lasts for 2.5 seconds.

Its best modifier is Mythical.

Notes

• Liquids do not affect the speed of the projectiles.
• The projectiles have a much stronger homing ability than most homing weapons.
• The projectiles can hit the same enemy multiple times.
• The projectile applies 6 ticks^[1] (0.1 seconds) of global immunity frames upon hitting an enemy, while most piercing projectiles apply 10 ticks (0.17 seconds).
• The projectiles emit very faint light.

Tips

• The Razorblade Typhoon performs extremely well against moving targets, not to mention crowd-control scenarios such as segmented bosses or the Lunar Events.
• It can be unreliable against a single target if there are multiple enemies on the screen, since the projectiles may focus on other targets instead.
• While standing against a vertical, one-block wall, the player can fire the razorblades through it while firing close to perfectly horizontally. This is because the razorblades spawn one tile in front of the player. This trick can be extremely useful for the Martian Madness on the  Console version, because while inside a box, touching a side, the player is invulnerable to nearly all attacks from every enemy, and the Razorblade Typhoon can make quick work of the entire event.

Trivia

• The projectiles travel at 102 mph, the same speed as minecarts boosted by the Minecart Upgrade Kit(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).
