The Gladius is a pre-Hardmode shortsword that is dropped by Hoplites with a 1/20 (5%) chance. It attacks three times in quick succession per use, with slightly varying angles with each stab.

Its best modifier is Legendary.

• The tooltip is a reference to the 2000 epic historical drama movie Gladiator.
