The Copper Pickaxe is a pre-Hardmode pickaxe. It can mine blocks weaker than Meteorite. Newly created characters spawn with the Copper Pickaxe (Iron Pickaxe in Journey Mode). It can also be purchased from the Merchant for 5 SC.

Its alternate ore counterpart is the Tin Pickaxe. The Copper Pickaxe has slightly less damage, mining speed, and range.

Its best modifier is Legendary. However, due to rounding, Legendary, Light, Deadly, Agile, Quick, and Nasty provide equal boosts to mining speed for this tool.

Notes

• The Copper Pickaxe has a -1 range attribute, which means it can only mine 4 blocks to the sides, and 2 blocks above and below the player.
