The Skeleton Commando is a rare Hardmode, post-Plantera enemy that spawns in the Dungeon after Plantera is defeated. It slowly approaches the player, and, upon getting within their line of sight, stops in place before firing Rockets that explode upon contact with the player or with solid blocks.

It is one of the few entities that can be detected by the Lifeform Analyzer(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) or its upgrades.

Skeleton Commandos spawn most often in areas of the Dungeon backed by brick walls. They can also spawn in other areas, but with a significantly reduced chance.

Tips

Skeleton Commandos have a large fire range, and their Rockets deal a lot of damage, so watch out for Rockets being fired from off-screen or avoid getting within their line of sight.

Trivia

A commando is a combatant or operative of an elite light infantry or special operations force using dedicated operation techniques. The Skeleton Commando is implied to be one by its Bestiary description.
In Expert Mode(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions), the Skeleton Commando has a small chance of dropping two Rocket Launchers at once.
