Food items are buff potions which grant the Well Fed, Plenty Satisfied, or Exquisitely Stuffed buffs. They can be placed on Plates(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and cancel the Hunger(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) debuff in the The Constant(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) and Get fixed boi(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) seeds. Statue-spawned enemies will never drop food.[1]

Food generally encompasses drinks as well, such as the Lemonade(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions) or Milkshake(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions). However, Ale, Eggnog(Desktop, Console, Old-gen console and Mobile versions), and Sake(Desktop, Console, Old-gen console and Mobile versions) are not considered food items, as they cause different buffs and do not cancel The Constant's Hunger debuff. They can still be placed on Plates nonetheless.

Cherry Cherry Well Fed Well Fed 5 minutes Drops from shaken Boreal trees.
Coconut Coconut Well Fed Well Fed 5 minutes Drops from any type of shaken Palm tree only in the Ocean biome.
