Terraspark Boots mid-flight.

The Terraspark Boots are a pre-Hardmode accessory crafted from Frostspark Boots and Lava Waders, and combines their functionality. They grant the following effects while equipped:

• The ability to sprint, allowing the player to reach maximum running speed faster. The player will leave behind a visual trail of snow clouds as they sprint.
• Increased maximum movement speed to 35 mph (25.67 tiles/second).
• The ability to hold ↷ Jump in midair to fly for a total of 1.17 seconds. While flying, the boots emit a visual trail of green sparks.
  • When paired with wings, this flight is disabled to give the wings an additional 0.7 seconds of flight time.
• Increased acceleration and deceleration on all Ice Blocks, Thin Ice, Frozen Slime Blocks, and Aetherium Blocks. The player will no longer cause Thin Ice to break upon landing.
• The ability to stand and walk on the surface of all liquids.
• Prevents fall damage when landing on the surface of any liquid.
• Immunity to the Burning debuff.
• Immunity to lava for 7 seconds.
• Decreases the damage taken from lava from 80 to 35, and reduces the duration of the On Fire! debuff inflicted by it from 7 / 14 / 17.5 seconds to 3.5 / 7 / 8.75 seconds.
• Equipping the Ash Wood armor at the same time provides immunity to lava damage and debuff.

Notes

• The Lava Charm, Molten Charm, Magma Skull, Molten Skull Rose, and Lava Waders all stack with the Terraspark Boots to increase lava immunity by 7 seconds each. The Demonic Hellcart also gives an additional 7 seconds. Of these, only the Demonic Hellcart is not itself a Lava Charm upgrade.
  • In Classic Mode the player can equip 5 of these accessories and the Demonic Hellcart to increase lava immunity to a maximum total of 42 seconds.
  • In Expert Mode the player can equip and additional 6th accessory after consuming the Demon Heart, resulting in a maximum total of 49 seconds of lava immunity.

Tips

• The Terraspark Boots are better suited for general exploration and spelunking. Compared to the Amphibian Boots, they fall short in events and boss fights due to their lack of extra vertical mobility that the Amphibian Boots provide.
• The Terraspark Boots can be crafted before defeating any bosses, and most of the required ingredients can be obtained from crates.

Trivia

• The Terraspark Boots share the "terra" aesthetic with the Terra Blade, Terragrim, Terra Toilet, and Terra Fart Kart.
  • The accessory is the only item with this theme that can be crafted before Hardmode. While the Terragrim is also obtainable in pre-Hardmode, it is not craftable.
  • The achievement for acquiring the Terraspark Boots has a very similar name to the achievement for acquiring the Terra Blade, "Sword of the Hero".
• Terraria's lead developer, Redigit, has stated that he thinks the Terraspark Boots are too powerful.^[1] Prior to the 1.4.0.1 update, he repeatedly mentioned that a tinker combination with the Frostspark Boots and Lava Waders would be "too overpowered" and that such an accessory would never exist nor fit in the game balance-wise.^Verify Redigit stated that the accessory was only introduced so that players would "stop bugging him about it".^[2]
