Terraspark Boots are a highly useful movement accessory which can be crafted before Hardmode and can easily last you into the endgame. While the crafting tree is complex, most of the materials required are easy to come across.

Ingredients

Step 1: Spectre Boots

There are four types of base level running boots that exist which increase the player's movement speed by a very high margin, allowing them to sprint. Most of these boots have no additional effects (except for Dunerider Boots) and can be used interchangeably in crafting.

The Dunerider Boots grant even more speed on sand, but this effect will not be transferred to its upgrades.

Hermes Boots

The Hermes Boots are likely the first variety of sprinting boots that the player will encounter, and are very easy to discover early on. They can be found in Gold Chests in Underground Cabins which generate in most biomes in the Underground and Cavern layers.

Flurry Boots

Flurry Boots are also very easy to encounter in the early game generating within Frozen Chests, acting as an Ice biome counterpart to Hermes Boots.

Since the Ice biome sometimes spreads near the spawn point even if the player does not spawn directly within the Snow biome, Flurry Boots may be encountered if the player tunnels down deep enough near spawn. This is most likely to happen with small worlds.

They can also be fished up in Frozen Crates, and Boreal Crates in Hardmode.

Sailfish Boots

The Sailfish Boots are obtained from opening Wooden Crates and Iron Crates found via fishing, and are semi-common rewards from opening them, with a 1/40 (2.5%) chance of being received from the former and a 133/3125 (4.26%) chance of being received from the latter. The Wooden Crate is the most common Crate found via fishing, with the Iron Crate being second-most common.

Dunerider Boots

Dunerider Boots can be found in the Underground Desert, specifically in Chests located in Underground Desert Cabins. This biome is extremely dangerous to new players, so you'll probably be best off avoiding this one. You can also fish them up in Oasis Crates and Mirage Crates.

Rocket Boots

After defeating a Goblin Army and rescuing the Goblin Tinkerer, the Rocket Boots can be purchased from the Goblin Tinkerer for a base price of 5 GC.

Crafting the Spectre Boots

The Rocket Boots can be combined with one of any of the base level running boots at a Tinkerer's Workshop to yield the Spectre Boots, combining the effects of its two components.

Step 2: Lightning Boots

Aglet

Aglets are quite common accessories that are frequently found in Surface wooden Chests. They can also be found by opening Wooden Crates, which are obtained from fishing, with a 1/100 (1%) chance. Another way to obtain them is from the Skeleton Merchant during a New Moon for 2 GC50 SC.

Anklet of the Wind

The Anklet of the Wind can be found in Ivy Chests, which generate within Jungle Shrines in the Underground Jungle. They can also be found by opening Jungle Crates, with a 19/100 (19%) chance.

Crafting the Lightning Boots

These two accessories can be combined with the Spectre Boots at a Tinkerer's Workshop, yielding the Lightning Boots.

Step 3: Frostspark Boots

Ice Skates

Ice Skates, just like the Flurry Boots, can be found in Frozen Chests. If one cannot find a pair in their world, they can also fish in the Snow biome and try to obtain these from Frozen Crates or Boreal Crates with a 1/6 (16.67%) chance.

Crafting the Frostspark Boots

Combine Ice Skates with the Lightning Boots at a Tinkerer's Workshop to craft the Frostspark Boots.

Step 4: Obsidian Water Walking Boots

Water Walking Boots

The Water Walking Boots have a 1/10 (10%) chance be found in Water Chests, which can be found submerged in the Ocean and in other biomes' water pools. The player also can obtain them from Ocean Crates and Seaside Crates. While they can be found underground, the easiest way to search for them is in the Ocean.

Obsidian Skull

The Obsidian Skull can be crafted from 20 Obsidian at a Furnace. Obsidian may be obtained by mixing lava with water.

Combine Water Walking Boots with the Obsidian Skull at a Tinkerer’s Workshop to craft the Obsidian Water Walking Boots.

Step 5: Lava Waders

Lava Charm

The Lava Charm can be found in Chests in the Lava layer with a 1/20 (5%) chance. However, since they aren't guaranteed to appear in a world, fishing in lava for Obsidian Crates or Hellstone Crates can yield the Lava Charm with a 1/20 (5%) chance, although this may take a while. Alternatively, it can also be obtained by throwing a Magma Stone into Shimmer.

Obsidian Rose

The Obsidian Rose is also required to craft Lava Waders and can obtained from Fire Imps in the Underworld with a 1/20 (5%) drop rate chance.

Crafting the Lava Waders

Combine Obsidian Water Walking Boots with the Lava Charm and Obsidian Rose at a Tinkerer's Workshop to craft the Lava Waders.

Step 6: Terraspark Boots

Finalizing the Terraspark Boots

Combine Frostspark Boots with the Lava Waders at a Tinkerer's Workshop to craft the Terraspark Boots.
