On the Old-gen console version and Nintendo version, an area is considered a Crimson biome if there are at least 200 blocks of Crimson grass or Crimson blocks present nearby.
On these versions, the Crimson cannot be chosen by the player upon world creation.

- It is not possible to create an artificial Corruption biome in a Crimson world on Old-gen console and without the use of another world.
- Trees in the Crimson do not drop Acorns.
Trivia
- The achievement "Corruptible" refers to the Corruption. However, the Crimson appears to have no Crimson achievement equivalent.
