Legacy:Terra Blade

 

This is the Legacy page whose information relates to the article Terra Blade.
It applies only to the Old-gen console and 3DS versions of Terraria, detailing their differences from modern versions.

On the  Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version, the Terra Blade already becomes available after defeating one mechanical boss. Instead of a slash projectile, it fires a green sword-shaped projectile when swung, which costs neither mana nor ammunition, deals 125% of the weapon's damage, and can pierce through two enemies, dissipating after hitting a third enemy or a wall. The projectile can travel up to 5000 feet (2500 tiles) at a speed of 61 mph. The velocity of the projectile can be increased by melee speed bonuses.

The Terra Blade in use. Notice that its projectile can pierce, unlike the True Night's Edge's.

• The sword's projectile will graphically disappear upon leaving the player's screen but will be visible again if they teleport in its direction.

Trivia

• The Terra Beam is the only sword-shaped melee projectile that is capable of piercing through enemies.
• It is considered the strongest sword in the game, tied with The Horseman's Blade.
• The Terra Blade itself also bears a certain resemblance to the True Excalibur's, being straight and symmetrical.
• Crafting the Terra Blade requires the most raw ingredients of any sword:
  • 40 Demonite / Crimtane Ore
  • 12 Jungle Spores
  • 15 Stingers
  • 1 Muramasa
  • 60 Hellstone
  • 20 Obsidian
  • 12 Hallowed Bars
  • 3 Broken Hero Swords
• It can be considered to be much harder to craft than on the  Desktop version,  Console version, and  Mobile version due to needing three Broken Hero Swords and the drop rate being very low (1/250). On the plus side, it can be obtained after defeating one mechanical boss.
