Legacy:Mimics

 

This is the Legacy page whose information relates to the article Mimics.
It applies only to the Old-gen console and 3DS versions of Terraria, detailing their differences from modern versions.

On the  Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DS version, Mimics have different drop rates for their dropped items.

Biome Mimics are not available on these versions.

Tips

• During February, all enemies have hearts floating on them. This makes the difference between Mimics and Chests blatantly obvious.
• With the Smart Cursor turned on, Mimics can be identified by their lack of yellow border (normally around Chests) upon getting near them.
• A Mimic will appear as a red dot on the map, similar to all other enemies.

Trivia

• Regular Mimics drop the most coins out of any non-boss enemy in the game, and even more than most pre-Hardmode bosses.
