On the Old-gen console version and Nintendo version, there are only 20 different types of ores, as Luminite is unavailable. All ores have a maximum stack size of 999 on these versions.
Tips
- On the Old-gen console version and Nintendo version, the Reaver Shark can mine Hellstone. Furthermore, the Palladium Pickaxe and Drill can mine Adamantite and Titanium on .
- Most ores sell for the same as or more than the bars made from them, exceptions being the late pre-Hardmode ores (like Demonite/Crimtane), which are far more profitable as bars.
Trivia
- (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Hellstone's item sprite is a recolor of that of Silver Ore.
- (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Chlorophyte is the only other ore apart from Hellstone that cannot be infinitely generated within a single world. It is limited by the amount of Mud (and Dirt) in the world, due to the absence of Dirt Bombs(Desktop, Console and Mobile versions).
- (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Iron and Lead are the only ore types without a respective brick type.
