On the Old-gen console version Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version, the Obsidian Swordfish can only be obtained by fishing in lava using a Hotline Fishing Hook.

Notes

  • (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) The world does not need to be in Hardmode in order to catch this item. However, a Hotline Fishing Hook is required, which can only be obtained in Hardmode worlds.
