On the Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version, the Crystal Storm may be obtained prior to entering Hardmode as a 1/500 (0.2%) chance to drop from Arch Demons.

On the Old-gen console version Old-gen console version and Nintendo 3DSNintendo 3DS version version, the Crystal Storm's best modifier is either Masterful for mana conservation or Godly/Demonic for higher damage output. It cannot get the Mythical modifier due to its low mana cost.

Tips

  • (Old-gen console and 3DS versions) While being useful early Hardmode, it is generally ineffective against any Hardmode bosses.
