Henry's shelter^[1] was Henry's first build in the Overworld to protect him and his friends from mobs.^[2]

Layout

Henry's shelter is a structure made out of oak logs. Because the gang did not know how to craft at this point of the movie, there is no door. Consequently, when Garrett was being chased by zombies and needed to go in, Henry had to destroy some of the wall blocks and quickly place them back to keep the zombies out. The building has a spiral staircase that leads to the roof of the building, which resembles a castle.

When Henry was running away from monsters with the gang, he runs into a tree by accident. A log from the tree breaks from the impact, allowing Henry to pick it up in item form. When Dawn and Natalie tell him to hurry, he starts punching the rest of the tree down, and learns how to build. Using more logs, he starts to create a square wall of logs around Dawn and Natalie, much to their confusion. Then he builds a spiral staircase inside and a platform atop. Garret runs up, fleeing from the zombies, and screams for permission inside. Henry allows him in and they hang out inside until a skeleton detonates a creeper, causing a wall to fall away and them to flee to the top, zombies at their heels. Though they cower in fear, Steve arrives and thwarts some of the threat, letting the sun do the rest. He then introduces himself and strikes a deal with the misfits; in exchange for getting them home, they give him the Orb of Dominance. Then they depart for Midport Village, and it is not seen again, though Steve compliments Henry on it later.
