Minecraft: The Manga, known as Minecraft: Journey to the World's End (MINECRAFTマインクラフト〜世界の果てへの旅〜, Mainkurafuto: Sekai no Hate e no Tabi) in Japan, is a Japanese manga series published by Shogakukan and serialized in the monthly CoroCoro Comic magazine. The series has been licensed in English by VIZ Media, who began publishing the volumes in March 2025.^[2][3] A portion of the first chapter was released on Free Comic Book Day, bundled with a chapter of Beyblade X.^[4]

The manga series is popular in Japan, with a recorded 750,000 sales for the first 11 volumes.^[5]

Plot

Nico White is a member of the White Family, a family of adventurers with the ability to access the Mod Power Imagination. After being overrun by zombies while mining, Nico awakens the ability himself, using it to craft a Super Long Stone Sword. He decides to fulfill his dream of reaching the World's End, like his father left to do himself, and sets out on a journey.

Characters

• Nico White (ニコ・ホワイト, Niko Howaito): A young boy from the White Family (ホワイト家, Howaito-ka), and the protagonist. He is 10 years old and was born in Theo Village (テオ村, Teo-mura).
• Gray (グレイ, Gurei): A man cursed by a Mod Power that transformed him into a zombie. He travels the world trying to find a cure to his ability, joining Nico on his journey. Unlike the rest of his village, he kept his intelligence even after being transformed.
• Yamabuki (ヤマブキ, Yamabuki): A ninja who aims to be the strongest swordsman. He was kicked out of his village for his lack of stealth. After losing to Nico and Gray, he resolved to get stronger, and became an adventurer himself. He frequently follows Nico's party, remaining out-of-sight of his party members until called (though he remains obviously visible to other bystanders).
• Navy (ネイビー, Neibī): A small creeper trying to reach the World's End. They can speak, and join Nico on his journey.
• Platinum (プラチナ, Purachina): An iron golem designed to look like a human woman. She joins Nico on his journey.
• Erma White (エルマ・ホワイト, Eruma Howaito): Nico's mother and Icco's wife.
• Icco White (イッコ・ホワイト, Ikko Howaito), Nico's father and Erma's husband.
• Luke (ルーク, Rūku) and Bull (ブル, Buru): Members of the Brown Family (ブラウン家, Buraun-ka), they call themselves the Brown Brothers (ブラウンブラザーズ, Buraun Burazāzu). Luke, the elder twin, considers them Nico's self-proclaimed rivals.
• Hawk (ホーク, Hōku): A young boy from a desert village that was being extorted by the Sand Gang.
• Sand Raiders (サンド団, Sando-dan): A gang of thieves led by Sand (サンド, Sando). They stole the water from Hawk's village, but were beaten by Nico and Gray.
• Old Trapster (トラップじいさん, Torappu-jīsan): An old trap master living in a valley. He repurposed a monster room into a treasure vault.
• Lily (リリィ, Riryi): The daughter of the mayor of Carhon Village (カロン村, Karon-mura). Nico helped her defeat a mysterious monster that attacked the village's animals.
• Giant Spider: The giant spider was a massive spider that attacked Carhon Village. Through the Growth Mod Power, it grew to 30x the size of an average spider, and gained enough intelligence for basic speech and logic. It was ultimately killed by Nico after it kidnapped and nearly ate Lily.
• Dylan (ディラン, Diran): A sailor that hired Nico and Gray to defend him against a Drowned outbreak caused by a recent shipwreck, in exchange for sailing them across a stretch of ocean. His brother was among the turned, and Dylan ultimately put him down himself.
• Phoenix (フェニックス, Fenikkusu): The leader of a "magma village", located on a volcano. When Nico's party wanted to look for treasure in the magma, he offered searching rights should they win a monthly parkour competition held in the village.
• Fox (フォックス, Fokkusu): A traveling merchant. He ran into Nico's party and, under the guide of friendship, tried to kidnap Navy to sell as an oddity.
• Blizzard Stray (吹雪のストレイ, Fubuki no Suturei): A Stray with the "Blizzard" Mod Power. It was captured by a human exiled from their village, who attempted to transfer their consciousness into it to become immortal; however, the transfusion failed, and the Blizzard Stray was simply left with the person's hatred for other humans.
• Don Gold Flavor (ドン・ゴールドー味, Don Gōrudō-mi): A bandit trio consisting of Don Gold (ドン・ゴールド, Don Gōrudō), Ruby (ルビー, Rubī), and Hunter (ハント, Hanto). They chased Nico's party out of Metys Village (メティス村, Metisu-mura) in an attempt to get his Mod Power.
• Rock (ロック, Rokku): An adventurer who previously traveled with Icco White and Owl. While he made it to the End, he passed out upon seeing the Ender Dragon, before reawakening back in the Overworld and retiring in a nearby village.
• Hyena (ハイエナ, Haiena): A bandit with the ability to control mobs with his Mob Tamer Mod Power.
• Owl (オウル, Ōru): A man who travels with Icco White. He has the Clairvoyance Mod Power, located in his left eye. Due to this, he usually covers both his eyes with cloth.
• Sapphire (サファイア, Safaia): A crafter Nico's party met, who already knew of Nico. She carries a giant pickaxe.
• "Destruction King" Abyss (崩壊王 アビス, Hōkai-Ō Abisu): The leader of the Evil King's Gang (悪の王の一味, Aku no Ō no Ichimi), a group trying to destroy the world with the King's Mod.
• Calamity (カラミティ, Karamiti): A member of the Evil King's Gang.
• "Plunder King" Green (略奪王 グリーン, Ryakudatsu-Ō Gurīn): A member of the Evil King's Gang.

Chapters not yet published in volume format

Chapters are released monthly, without a title. As CoroCoro Comic's June 2025 issue (released in May 2025), 62 numbered chapters have been published.
