(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) It has 7500 max hp.

(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) It drops 0-100 Shadow Scales and 20-310 Demonite Ore.

(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Breaking multiple Shadow Orbs will allow multiple Eaters of Worlds to spawn. Regardless of how many are summoned, the defeat message will only be displayed when the last head is killed.

(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) Piercing or area-of-effect weapons such as the Water Bolt prove to be effective.

(Old-gen console and 3DS versions) It is a good way to farm for a Mold, as every segment has a chance of dropping one.
